The service

LegitDrops builds websites, web apps, online stores and mobile apps. The site lets you describe an idea, get an estimate, build prototypes with credits, and agree a project with us.

Estimates and prototypes

Estimates are ranges, not quotes. Prototypes are illustrations to help you decide; they are not the finished product. A project only starts when you sign a proposal and pay the deposit, and the signed contract then governs that project.

Credits

Credits are used for prototype builds, revisions and expert suggestions. They don’t expire, can’t be exchanged for cash and aren’t transferable. If a build fails on our side, the credits are returned automatically.

Your ideas and content

You keep ownership of the ideas and content you share. We use them only to scope and build your project, and we don’t share them with other clients.

Care plans and service terms

These terms apply to every care plan and are incorporated into each project agreement.

• Definitions. A Change Request is a modification to functionality or content already delivered under the agreed scope. Change Hours are the monthly allowance of studio time included in your plan for Change Requests.
• Scope extensions. New pages, features, user roles, third-party integrations, redesigns and content production are outside the plan. Each is estimated and quoted in writing, and work begins only after your written approval.
• Workmanship warranty. Delivered work is warranted to perform as specified in the signed scope. If it does not, we restore it at no charge and the time is not deducted from your Change Hours. The warranty runs for the life of an active plan, or 30 days from launch without a plan. It does not cover issues arising from changes made by other parties, updates to third-party services, browsers or operating systems, or content you supply; these are handled as Change Requests.
• Time recording. Time is recorded in 15-minute increments, with a 15-minute minimum per request. Requests estimated at more than one hour are confirmed with you before work begins.
• Allowance period. Change Hours renew on the 1st of each calendar month. Unused hours do not carry over, have no cash value and cannot be transferred between projects.
• Additional time. Work beyond the monthly allowance is billed at $20 per hour, quoted in advance and performed only with your approval.
• Submitting requests. All requests are submitted through your LegitDrops account chat. This keeps a single, dated record of each request, its approval and the time recorded against it.
• Service levels. Response times are measured in business days (Monday to Friday, West Africa Time, excluding Nigerian public holidays) and begin once all required materials and approvals have been received.
• Billing and renewal. Plans are billed annually in advance and renew automatically unless cancelled in writing at least 30 days before the renewal date. Fees for unused hours are non-refundable. If a renewal remains unpaid, we give 14 days’ written notice before suspending hosting and domain renewal.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the service for anything illegal, for impersonating other businesses, or for scams. We can refuse or end projects that break these terms.
